Shutters
Shutters (many times referred to as Plantation Shutters) are manufactured from either solid wood, faux wood or composite materials. They are hinged, louvered door-like coverings. The louvers may be opened and closed to allow sunlight or create Privacy. Hardwood shutters are crafted from real wood and use dovetail joinery for optimum strength and durability. They come in a large selection of stain and paint finishes.
Blinds
Blinds can be horizontal or vertical slats that tilt to open and close in order to let the light in or block it out. The slats are suspended by pieces of cloth, called tapes, or by cords. The slats may be tilted open/closed by using a wand or a cord for vertical blinds which is attached to the headrail. In addition, all slats may be lifted in unison to the headrail by the lift cords or pulled to one side or split in the center for verticals. Most people tend to think only of the aluminum blinds (sometimes referred to as Venetian blinds), however there are also vinyl blinds, wood blinds, faux wood blinds, and fabric INSULATED blinds in many colors to choose from.
Honeycomb Shades
Cellular shades, also known as Honeycomb or Cellular blinds, are named for the empty pockets of air that run parallel to their creases. As a rule, honeycomb shades take after customary pleated shades when seen from the room. Dissimilar to pleated shades, be that as it may, honeycomb shades are made out of no less than two sheets of fabric; one confronting the room and the other confronting the outside. These fabrics arrive in three opacities (sheer, light filtering and room darkening) and many colors, providing an adaptability over the shade used to intensify your room and accent your décor.
